Activities
Yarmouth is well placed at the Western end of the Isle of Wight for those who like walking, cycling and riding, being in easy reach of at least four walks of the West Wight. There are walks, cycleways and bridal paths either side of the River Yar to Freshwater, to Alum Bay and the Needles, or Freshwater Bay and Tennyson Down.
For those not so energetic, there are daily coach tours around the Island leaving the Quay - or why not hire a car?
There is a good bus service to places of interest, such as a scenic drive along the South of the Island to Blackgang Chine, water mills at Calbourne and Yafford, Carisbrooke Castle at Newport, Osborne House at East Cowes, and many more - ask at the Tourist Office for details.
