Berthing Master / Harbour Taxi Driver / Maintenance Operative

The post holder will be part of a small team responsible for berthing operations, including but not limited to, operating the water taxi service, collection of Harbour Dues and passenger landing fees, fuelling of vessels and general maintenance duties.
As part of your conditions of employment you will be required to gain a Local Authority Boatman’s Licence within 6 months of your start date, unless you are already in possession of a current one.
A 12 hour shift system is worked (generally 4 days on - on 4 days off) operating 7 days per week (including Bank/Public Holidays) between the hours of 7am – midnight, depending on the time of year and the role you are performing. On occasions you will be required to work outside these hours, often at short notice. Flexibility is essential.
We require someone who is first and foremost punctual and reliable, with maritime experience in a similar role, who enjoys working outdoors, as part of a team and alone. They will be flexible, enjoy interacting with members of the public, and exhibit first class customer service skills.
Being computer literate is a necessity.

A uniform, PPE and full training will be provided.
Access to reliable transport is essential unless living close to Yarmouth.
