Yarmouth Carnival & Regatta 13 - 20 August

It's the 101st Yarmouth Carnival & Regatta from Saturday 13 August to Saturday 20 August - a week of fun and games for all the family including events like crabbing, harbour sports, decorated dinghies etc. The programme is as follows:
Saturday 13 August - Ceremonial raising of the Carnival Flag at 3.00 pm followed by sports on the Green. Refreshments and handicraft sales on the Green
Sunday 14 August - All day classic car display. Decorated dinghies by the harbour wall at 4.00 pm
Monday 15 August - St John Ambulance on the Green from 9.30 am. Tea at the Towers (along the High Street from the Square) 2.00-4.00 pm. Crabbing from the harbour wall 4.00-5.00 pm
Tuesday 16 August - Treasure hunt 10.00-11.30 am (pick up clues from the green). Cup of tea with the Lifeboat crew on the Green from 2.30 pm. Dog agility & pet show 4.00 pm. All day photographic exhibition in the marquee.
Wednesday 17 August - Solent Kite Flyers on the Green all day. Fishing competition off Yarmouth Pier 6.00-7.30 pm.
Thursday 18 August - Historical talk at The George 11.00 am. Harbour sports 4.00 pm. All day: art and Duke of Edinburgh's Award exhibitions on the Green.
Friday 19 August - Rockpooling at Fort Victoria (meet 9.30 am outside Ranger's office). Teddy Bear's Picnic in garden of The Deacons, High Street at 3.00 pm. Prize-giving on the Green at 5.30 pm. Lifeboat demonstration off the Pier 7.00 pm. Ghost Walk around Yarmouth 8.45 pm.
Saturday 20 August - Carnival workshop on the Green from 9.30 am. Carnival Parade: judging on the Green 4.45 pm and parade starts 5.30 pm.
