Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) General Directions 2012 and The Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) Harbour Revision Order 2011

The 2011 Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) Harbour Revision Order granted powers of General Direction and Special Direction to Yarmouth Harbour Commissioners. These General Directions came into effect on 1 March 2012. These are the rules for the day to day running of the harbour and supersede the Yarmouth Harbour 1973 Byelaws.

Hot Works Permit

On 1st March 2012 Yarmouth Harbour's new General Drections came into force. Direction 35 requires us to grant permission for any hot works such as welding and/or burning within our jurisdiction. To do this you must complete and  return a hot works permit form to the harbour office and the Harbour Master/Deputy Harbour Master must grant permission.
