Join YHC at Yarmouth Sea Songs Festival

Yarmouth Sea Songs Festival takes place on The Green next week from 27th to 29th May and we’re very glad to say the organisers have invited Yarmouth Harbour to have a stand at the three-day event.
Everyone is welcome to come and have a chat to YHC staff and Commissioners on our stand to find out more about the work of the harbour.
The Sea Songs Festival is a not-to-be-missed celebration of folk songs of the sea and the sailors who went about their business on it.
This year’s celebration will commence on Friday 27th May with the first act at 1200. The formal opening will be at 1600 by the Isle of Wight High Sherriff Kay Marriott JP, with singing from Yarmouth School children and guest John Conolly.
The weekend continues with Saturday 28th commencing at 1000 until 2130, and Sunday 29th starting at 1100 until approximately 1800, finishing with our extravaganza ‘Fantasia of the Sea’.
A food stand, bar, ice cream, fudge and pizza will all be available on site over the weekend.
This year features a larger marquee with a beer stand and food stall. All your favourite groups will perform, along with ukulele bands, headline acts and sessions. Admission is free – all donations in support of NCI Coastwatch at The Needles. Parking is available on The Green.
