Hailing Station repairs

Essential repair works are taking place at the Hailing Station near the harbour entrance, which will see the greenheart timber fendering replaced after reaching the end of its useful life. The Hailing Station is occasionally used for mooring large yachts when the harbour is very busy – but in days gone by, it was used to hail vessels (by voice) to determine their cargo and destination!
