Fuel Berth Operative
(Temporary part-time position)
Mid July – 3 September 2023
Required to operate the fuel berth and assist with the mooring of vessels in the harbour during our busiest time in the summer season.
Primarily your role will be to administer fuel to our customers, catch mooring lines, and collect berthing fees from various areas in the harbour.
Other duties will include regular patrols of the pontoons, supplying visitors/residents with refreshments/ice and disposing of their litter, collecting fishing permit fees from anglers on the pier, together with general maintenance and tidying duties.
You will need to be organised, a good communicator, honest, reliable, punctual, and be of a positive and friendly disposition.
Previous cash handling and customer service experience is required.
The hours of work are primarily Tuesday to Saturday 09:00 -17:00, however you may be required to start as early as 08:00 and finish as late as 18:00. Some flexibility is required to suit operational requirements.
