Travelling to the Isle of Wight is easy with Wightlink operating a regular vehicle ferry service from Lymington to Yarmouth bringing thousands of visitors to the Island every year.

If you’re coming to the Island by boat and without a car there are lots of ways to get around.

Car Hire

Travel further by car!

Car hire can be arranged via Enterprise Car Club with the Yarmouth Harbour access code that means you can enjoy both collection and return at the Harbour Office.

Buses

The FYTbus operates from the bus station outside the Harbour Office and is a friendly local bus service getting you to where you want to be in Freshwater, Yarmouth, and Totland.

For buses to other areas of the Island, visit the Southern Vectis website. Take the Route 7 bus from Yarmouth Bus Station (Bridge Road) for connections at Newport Bus Station to other key Island destinations.

The popular ‘Needles Breezer’ is a seasonal open-top bus ride around the West Wight. It’s a hop-on, hop-off bus serving a number of places of interest including The Needles Old Battery and the Needles Landmark Attraction as well as some of the most spectacular scenery on the island.
