Reporting the spillage of oil or other pollutants
In line with Yarmouth Harbour General Direction Number 50, no person shall pump or wilfully or carelessly allow to escape into the harbour any dangerous or offensive matter.
This includes washing down decks after spillages of fuel, however small. Use absorbent cloth from the Harbour Office and dispose of it in the special bin provided.
All such incidents, including the spillage of oil or other marine pollutants into the harbour, should be reported immediately to the Harbour Master, either via VHF Ch68, telephone to 01983 760321, or verbally to harbour staff and an Incident Report form completed at the Harbour Office.
