The Royal Solent Yacht Club’s extensive clubhouse occupies a prime waterfront position in Yarmouth, offering glorious uninterrupted views of the Solent and magnificent sunsets from its lawn, marquee, balcony, bars and dining rooms.
The Club runs a full programme of sailing and cruising for members, and hosts regattas, rallies, championships and nationals. The summer sees the most renowned of the Club’s events taking place – the Taittinger RSYC Regatta in July and Folkboat Week in August.

Yarmouth Sailing Club
Yarmouth Sailing Club is a friendly, informal, inclusive club run on a volunteer basis. The club is also an RYA Training Centre delivering dinghy sail training for Juniors and Adults and RYA power boat training. Visiting yachtsmen are always welcome.
Weekly racing is held for Scows, Optimists, and a Handicap Class. Races take place both in the river and out on the Solent and, weather permitting, the Club runs passage races and picnic trips further afield. If you watch the tides carefully, you can sail up the River Yar on a high tide in a dinghy and moor up to go for a pub meal at the Red Lion.
The Club hosts Scows Week in late July or early August and holds an annual two-day Regatta at the end of August.
